The authors of the Dorian Festival
Moica Claudio
In his poems, there is a mix of strong island flavors and green Tuscan emotions, influenced by a passion for the great poet Pablo Neruda, who accompanies him in his writing.
His writings are born from a deep melancholy tied to the passage of time and the resurfacing of memories of a joyful and colorful life, blurred by the drama of daily events. The search for serenity is the common thread running through all his poems.
Winner of numerous literary awards, among which stands out the one received at the “Venice Poetry Biennale” with the lyric “The Man in the Tower”.
He collaborated with figures from the cultural and political world in the drafting of the book sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of the Sardinia Region, “Canne al vento in memory of Grazia Deledda”.
On June 2, 2008, the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, awarded him, upon recommendation of the Presidency of the Council, the honor of Knight of Merit of the Italian Republic for socio-cultural merits.
In 2010, the Italian Red Cross awarded him the commemorative medal “For having, with uncommon competence and dedication, contributed to writing one of the most epic and exhilarating pages in the history of the Italian Red Cross”.
He is the artistic director of the Liberevento Cultural Festival, which he conceived.
In 2012, together with his friends Sergio Onnis and Giovanni L.F. Fiabane, he founded the publishing house “Pettirosso Editore”.
