The authors of the Dorian Festival

Pinna Pier Giorgio

He is a journalist, author of essays and cross-media books, and a pacifist.

He worked for the newspaper La Nuova Sardegna from 1978 to 2015, holding various roles, from external contributor to editor-in-chief. For over thirty years, starting in 1984, he was the correspondent from the island for the newspaper La Repubblica.

He served two terms as vice president of the Assostampa Sarda in 2004 and 2007. At the beginning of his career, in 1977, he worked at Radio Sassari Centrale, one of Italy’s first independent radio stations.

Author of social and cultural reportage, he currently collaborates with civic engagement associations and teaches journalism techniques in schools and universities. Thanks to these experiences, he has focused on multimedia mixes and interactive reporting.

Among his publications: “La Sardegna prima della Storia. Dai dinosauri all’uomo” (Cuec, 2005), with a preface by the Lincei academic Giovanni Lilliu and a postface by journalist Sergio Frau; a writing manual for internal newspaper use; “Il Codice della Morte Rossa” (2019); “Virus & Censure. Il contagio mediatico” (Edizioni Mediando, 2021); and “Il Caso Volpe 132. Libro bianco su un volo Nero” (2024), while other works of a similar type are in preparation.
