The authors of the Dorian Festival
Argiolas Ivano
Ivano Argiolas was born in Cagliari in 1974. He has lived in Monserrato, where he primarily worked as a photographer, a profession he now pursues only as a passion, signing his works under the pseudonym #fotoignaro.
Since the year 2000, he has mainly dedicated himself to social promotion, political representation, and trade union activities. Among his greatest passions are reading and writing. In the artistic field, he has written and collaborated on the creation of various advertising spots, short films, and docufilms. He is the author of “Paura di guarire”, a coming-of-age novel published by Il Maestrale publishing house.
His life is marked by thalassemia, a hereditary disease very common in Sardinia, which requires him to undergo blood transfusions. For this reason, in 2013, he underwent a gene therapy experiment in New York in an attempt to be cured. Ivano did not recover, but his sacrifice was still valuable to the scientific community.
Since 2022, he has been a City Councilor for the Municipality of Monserrato. He is currently engaged in the experimental writing of a novel with the provisional title “Nelle migliori famiglie”.
