Auriemma Ciro
Ciro Auriemma was born in Cagliari in 1975. Together with Massimo Carlotto, Francesco Abate, and the Sabot Collective, he published the novel “Perdas de Fogu” (edizioni e/o) in 2008, which won the Nori Ecologista literary prize “Jean-Claude Izzo.”
In 2010, he published the novel “Sette giorni di maestrale,” written in collaboration with Renato Troffa, which was included in the trilogy “Donne a perdere” (edizioni e/o) and was a finalist for the IV Mediterranean Festival of Crime and Noir. In 2014, together with Piergiorgio Pulixi and Stefano Cosmo, he published the novel “Padre Nostro,” which placed second in the 2015 Nebbia Gialla prize in Suzzara.
Some of his short stories have been featured in “Il Manifesto,” “La Nuova Sardegna,” “E” (the Emergency magazine), “I Amnesty” (Amnesty International’s magazine), and “Altair Magazine” (a Spanish periodical). A short story written with Massimo Carlotto and Piergiorgio Pulixi was published in 2011 in the monograph “Crimini di establishment” by MicroMega. His latest book is “La lama e l’inchiostro,” which has been receiving great critical acclaim and strong sales.
